Article 1.1 of the California constitutions declaration of rights runs contrary to the rights afforded to individuals in article 1. This is not only a legal conflict but a moral one. The fight for Pro Life policies are a fight for the right to life. Article 1.1 must be repealed and amended granting an article of rights and protections for the unborn individual.
California shares a large cross section of international border with our friend and partner Mexico. As a state we have an absolute responsibility to protect and secure the sovereignty of our border. The deadly fentanyl/drug crisis and tragic human trafficking industry will grow exponentially until the politicized open border policies are fixed.
How?
1. Cancel and lift any and all “sanctuary city” designations statewide.
2. Dispatch a specialized California National Guard unit to support border enforcement.
3. Implement a “turnaround and go back” policy.
4. Expedite legal immigration to discourage illegal crossing, entry and overstays.
5. Implement a ”permanent denial of entry” policy for illegal crossing and asylum loophole abusers.
6. Designate ”cartels“ appropriately as “terrorist organizations“ and deal with them accordingly.
7. Use the economic power and influence of California to bring our Mexican partner to the table. There are two sides to a border and Mexico must be held accountable and take responsibility for their own house.
The business destroying over regulation in California can be summed up in one simple analogy. “Death by a thousand cuts'. Small Businesses and the everyday consumer are the greatest victims of California's regulatory stupidity. As a Small business owner I have experienced this destruction firsthand. California must create a more hospitable tax and operating climate to encourage and enable the ever elusive pursuit of the American Dream. Our economy can rapidly recover if our elected officials simply stop choking it to death. The red tape must be ripped down!
We must lower the cost of energy! Energy costs in California have skyrocketed. California is the most expensive state in the nation for almost every form of energy. From electricity to natural gas and gassing up your car a large portion of the states population spends more on energy monthly than the cost of their mortgage or rent. This wasn’t an accident, it was a calculated move by corrupt politicians and regulatory commissioners. The CPUC NEM 3.0 regulatory changes for solar energy are the height of hypocrisy for the state that claims it wants to lead the way in affordable green energy. Immediately after these changes electricity rates spiked as much as fifty percent and continue to rise exponentially. In a single regulatory gut punch corrupt officials drove the cost of energy through the roof and destroyed the solar industry in California overnight. This killed tens of thousands of high paying jobs and brought new solar installation permits to a screeching halt. California must also invest in clean, safe and modern nuclear power. "Countries should be increasing nuclear power generation! It is insane from a national security standpoint & bad for the environment to shut them down," (Elon Musk). Hostile policies toward domestic gas and oil production must be confronted for what they are. Anti-American and politically motivated. We must unlock every sector of energy in California and allow the free markets to thrive! When markets are allowed to operate free of excessive government regulation and interference, efficiency and competition create stability and drive down prices.
California must take the handcuffs off our law enforcement officers and justice system and put them back on the criminals. This should start with a complete repeal of the ab109 and Prop 47 disaster. Common sense policies should then be crafted alongside those serving on the frontline.
Law abiding citizens have the right to keep and bear arms. That right should not be infringed upon. Citing acts committed by the criminal class to justify arms restrictions testifies to the lack of basic common sense left in California. By definition criminals don’t care about laws and restrictions. To the contrary, you enable criminals by taking away law abiding citizens rights and ability to defend themselves, their families and their property.
School choice is needed now more than ever. We must give parents back the right and choice of how and where to educate their children. School choice will not only create a more robust and competitive environment that will elevate the overall quality of education, but will give children the opportunity to receive life-affirming education. If life is affirmed young, we will create a life-affirming culture. This can be accomplished through a simple voucher based system that allows parents to shop schools and make the choice that best fits their families needs. This voucher system should also extend into the realm of special education. It’s a very simple concept, the money follows the child.
We can make real progress with homelessness in California with one major change. California must re-address the need for involuntary commitment and long term inpatient care facilities. California limits involuntary commitment to 72 hours on a 5150. The false moral argument for these limits revolves around “rights and freedoms''. By and large, this is a population of people who are incapable of caring for themselves at even the most basic level. It is not moral or humane to let someone die a slow painful death under the cover of “choice”. This is especially true when they can’t even comprehend the decisions you are placing on them. This provides a convenient cover to discard developmentally and physicslly disabled adults to the streets to die. To the untrained eye this is not so obvious, but I assure you after years of frontline mission work in the darkest corners of our communities, this is absolutely the cold hard truth. Regional Centers do the best they can under the current laws, but if involuntary commitment were re-established we could deal with over half of our homelessness issue in one fell swoop and save tens of thousands of our most vulnerable citizens lives. This would leave a clearer field of view to deal with the next leading causes of homelessness, which pale in comparison to the first. These inpatient facilities should be small, humane and spaced evenly across localities so as to not concentrate the mentally ill in one area or large institutional like hospitals. California must allow the free market to take on this challenge through the mechanism of managed Regional Center contracts. This should also include breaking down walls that keep churches, ministries and parachurch organizations from being front line partners.
I come from a family of God fearing raisin farmers from Caruthers and orchards farmers from Chowchilla. We must stand strong with our farmers. Water resources have been so stupidly managed in this state it’s hard to believe it’s not intentional. Flushing fresh water into the ocean over fabricated and nonsensical environmental concerns is insane. Water storage, rights and access must be a top priority for the state of California. Without the water they need, farmers can’t grow the food we eat.
Tax payers have the right to a clear and discernible accounting of how, where and why their taxes are being spent.
From lock downs to being compelled under duress to receive mRNA injections, and being forced to present ”papers” for access, we must make sure these lines are never crossed again. To this day many who refused forced injections are treated like second class citizens. Thousands lost their employment and livelihood and thousands more were not allowed to pursuit an education in the field of their choice. This must be made right!
“The separation of church and state” is a myth and does not exist in the United States Constitution. The U.S. Constitution reads as follows, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." The clear worded purpose and spirit of this clause is not to keep our faith out of the government, but to keep the government out of our faith. Our founding fathers established this great nation on a foundation of christian faith, biblical principles, and common sense conservative values. Over the years the government has bit by bit infringed upon our rights and freedom of faith. Christians must rise up and unashamedly serve the Lord at all levels of government.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17
